University Prep courses have officially started and I’ve been traveling back and forth between school and home and studying at the same time. I suddenly find myself having lesser time to read and write blog posts. Sigh… I have to start planning my time better now. As such, I’m thinking of reducing my blog posting to once a week to juggle between school work and reading/blogging.
Let’s get on with today’s blog post then, shall we? I got this idea from Jackie’s post which can be found here. She was writing a blog post about popular book series she has yet to read and I found it really interesting. After all, I only picked up reading as a hobby just last year. Previously, my hobby has just been gaming… As such, I missed out on a ton of new releases during my reading ‘break’. XD
Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas
*Ahem* Yes, I haven’t read this series yet and I bet many of you out there will most probably be screaming at me to read this series right away. I’ve seen endless book bloggers and booktubers rave and fall in love with The Throne of Glass series but *ahem* I’ll get to it soon. *please don’t kill me! >_<*
A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab
This is another famous trilogy I have yet to read. I only know the existence of this trilogy through famous booktubers like Jessethereader. After hearing all the positive reviews about this series, I finally decided to add it to my TBR list. I’ve always wanted to read more adult, fantasy books so this will be a good trilogy to start from.
The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa
This series has been on my TBR list for AGES. But I’ve never seemed to have the motivation to start reading this series. I’ve heard so many good things about this series that I went to get the book right away once I saw it up online. Anyways, I have a feeling I will get to this series in the future so hold your horses! Don’t start stoning me yet!!
Legend trilogy by Marie Lu
I have a feeling I should stop listing down more series as I can feel all of your preparing to scream at me for not reading them yet. Anyways, yes, I’ve heard great things about Marie Lu and I’m personally looking forward to her new release novel, Warcross, as I love to read novels that are related to gaming.
That’s all for ‘Popular Series I’m ashamed I haven’t yet read it’, what are some of the popular series you have yet to read? Part 2 anyone? I’m sure I have an endless list for this one. XD
I want to read the books on your list too except for the first Iron Fey book which I’ve read. It was okay but not near the level of the other books on this list (or so I’ve been told! Here I am throwing around big statements like that lol and I’ve not read these others…) anyway I wasn’t a huge mega fan of the iron fey book, but I hope you love it ❤️ gawhh this was a great little list!

Thanks! 🙂 I heard great things about the Iron Fey series when I started to pick up reading last year. Well, the videos I watched are mostly outdated so newly releases might be better than that series now. Even so, I will still read it to form my own opinions. 😀

Of course! I wouldn’t have it any other way… many readers love books I didn’t like ❤️👍🏻

I guess that means everyone has different preferences. 😀

I haven’t read Throne of Glass either and I’m not sure if I’m going to–I’ve heard pretty mixed reviews and I’m not a fan of fantasy, so I might have to let it go 🙂

I see… That’s sad. 😦 I heard mixed reviews about it too but I want to have my own opinions on the series and that’s the reason why I decided to add it to my TBR list. Anyways, I heard that the female MC is a very bad ass assassin and that totally intrigued me. XD

I’m in the same boat as you. Out of all these, I have only read legend while the rest of the books in that series are collecting dust on my shelf!

XD Yeah same! I wanted to binge read books after my high school exams. We have a 8 months break before University starts here in my country after you graduate from high school. (Though high school is called Junior College here) In the end, I was so busy working that I didn’t really have time to read the books. Sigh… And now, there are already courses to prepare us for the start of the semester and I’ve already started studying though University hasn’t even started yet! 😦 😦

Aw, I understand your situation, I was there once and we got only 3-4 months before I started college. And during that time, my reading was very limited too. I hope you find some time from your schedule to squeeze in some reading or maybe half an hour before you go to sleep?

Yep, I definitely have to do that. After all, I have to relax between study sessions or else I’m going to burn out from studying too hard. Reading might just be my get away whenever I want to have a rest. 😀

Don’t feel bad I haven’t read any of the series you mentioned either but I plan to get to them eventually.
